Redemption is a word that is most often used in religious circles, such as Christianity. It’s used to explain the action of being saved by God from sin. However, redemption is part of any philosophical journey. It doesn’t need to be in relation to a supernatural God. It could entirely be between you and your own conscience.

Redemption is a word that is most often used in religious circles, such as Christianity. It’s used to explain the action of being saved by God from sin. However, redemption is part of any philosophical journey. It doesn’t need to be in relation to a supernatural God. It could entirely be between you and your own conscience.
The Road of Self-Improvement
I hesitate to use the term “self-improvement”, as it doesn’t fully explain what I would call the “philosopher’s journey”, but it is close enough, and it is also what most people speak of today. The “philosopher’s journey” sounds a bit nerdy, doesn’t it?
In any case, the idea I am referring to here is the process of becoming better. Usually, what that means for most people is becoming happier, which is another word I hesitate to use. I would, instead, use the words ‘meaning’ and ‘flourishing’. The philosopher’s journey (or the road of self-improvement) is one which we embark on with the goal of living a flourishing life.
