Hello friends,

Here is the latest Q&A session. I hope it proves fruitful, and I’d love to see you at the next one!

Brandon

Summary

The conversation revolves around the topic of work and job satisfaction. The main themes discussed include the impact of work environment and coworkers on job satisfaction, the importance of perspective and gratitude in finding joy in work, and the evolution of Stoicism over time. The conversation also highlights the idea that it's okay to not enjoy work every single day as long as overall satisfaction is present.

Takeaways

  • Work environment and coworkers play a significant role in job satisfaction.

  • Having perspective and gratitude can help find joy in work.

  • Stoicism has evolved over time, and there is a debate between traditional Stoicism and modern Stoics regarding scientific alignment.

  • It's okay to not enjoy work every single day as long as overall satisfaction is present.

How Do I Join the Q&A Sessions?

I hold Q&A sessions through Riverside studio. Invites for these events are sent out through Substack a day or two before the event is held with the link for the studio. Listeners will hear the live talk (which will later be refined into a podcast episode), and be able to partake in a Q&A and discussion afterwards. (Note that if you would like to “call in” to the studio, you will need to be using a desktop or laptop computer. Mobile listeners will be able to type questions in the chat.).

How Do I Get Access to the Q&A Recordings and Transcripts?

The Q&A recordings and transcripts are only available to Substack Premium subscribers and my Patreon supporters. Everyone can join the live Q&As.
